Caves

Caves is a photographic exploration by Alex Wides dedicated to the monumental geometry of natural arches, rocky vaults, and open caverns shaped by time and erosion. This collection was created in some of the most remote desert and coastal regions on Earth, where the photographer ventured inside vast stone formations to study how light and perspective redefine space. Alex positions himself beneath these colossal structures to reveal their hidden architecture sculpted by wind, water, and temperature over millennia. Each panorama captures a dialogue between shadow and sun, between the weight of the rock and the openness of the horizon. The project represents an encounter between geological study and artistic vision, transforming raw formations into spatial compositions that evoke both shelter and immensity. Prints available.
