Deserts

Deserts is one of Alex Wides’ most demanding projects, born from months spent crossing some of the most remote and untouched regions on Earth. Each image is the result of long expeditions through heat, isolation, and silence, where every dune and rock formation had to be reached and studied in complete autonomy. The series explores how light sculpts the desert, turning emptiness into geometry and movement. Through his panoramic vision, Wides captures not only the landscape but also the sense of vastness and endurance behind each journey. These photographs are a rare record of places that few have seen, created in pursuit of solitude, precision, and timeless beauty. Some of these panoramas have received international recognition and are available as limited edition fine art prints.
