Milkyways

Milkyways is a collection that brings together years of nocturnal expeditions in some of the darkest places on Earth. Alex Wides has spent countless nights in the desert, far from any artificial light, to capture the pure glow of our galaxy arching above endless horizons. Each image required precision, patience, and deep knowledge of astronomical cycles. Alex planned his journeys according to the position of the Milky Way’s core, traveling across dunes and remote landscapes to frame the galaxy as part of the terrain itself. These photographs merge science and emotion, transforming the night sky into a bridge between Earth and the infinite. The collection celebrates the power of isolation and the wonder of being a witness to something eternal.
