Yes — this is a winter aurora tour, so whenever activity and clear skies allow we head out after dark to photograph the Northern Lights, including chances over Kirkjufell, Jökulsárlón and the south coast. Aurora can never be guaranteed, but the itinerary is planned flexibly to maximise your chances.

No. The workshop suits enthusiastic beginners as well as advanced photographers. You should know the basic controls of your camera; we help with composition, settings, focusing, exposure, filters, aurora shooting and field workflow throughout the tour.

Groups are kept small, with a maximum of 10 participants, so you get real, hands-on feedback in the field and plenty of time to create at each location.

The difficulty is easy. Most locations are close to the vehicle or require only short walks on established paths, though some terrain can be uneven and icy in winter. Basic fitness and warm, waterproof winter clothing are essential; no technical hiking experience is required.

The price includes 7 nights of comfortable accommodation (shared room, with a single supplement available), all breakfasts and 5 dinners, plus airport transfers. Lunches and 2 dinners are not included.

The tour starts and ends at Keflavík International Airport (KEF), with airport transfers included. The first night is spent near the airport before we begin exploring.

A camera body (plus a backup if you have one), a wide-angle lens for landscapes and aurora, a standard zoom, an optional telephoto, a sturdy wind-resistant tripod, a remote shutter release / intervalometer, several spare batteries, a power bank and multiple memory cards. ND filters are optional but useful.

Icelandic winter weather changes fast. Bring a waterproof, breathable outer shell (jacket and pants), insulated and fleece mid-layers, merino base layers, warm hiking pants, insulated waterproof boots, ice cleats / traction spikes, a warm hat and gloves.

Iceland is part of the Schengen Area. EU citizens do not need a visa. Many other nationalities (US, Canada, Australia and more) can enter visa-free for up to 90 days. Check your specific country's requirements before booking.

A deposit of $1,350 (30%) secures your seat, and the remaining balance is due before the tour start date. The total price is $4,500 per person.

Yes, we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical emergencies and travel delays. Winter conditions in Iceland can be unpredictable and plans may need to change.

The itinerary is flexible by design. We adjust the daily plan according to light, wind, snowfall, cloud cover, road conditions and aurora activity, always aiming to be in the best possible location for the conditions we have.
